'''Category:Places''' — this [[Special:Categories|category]] was previously discussed to be deprecated.  Check out the [[Category talk:Places|talk page for the general plan]] that's being slowly 'edited towards'.  However, more recent thought favours keeping this category within {{tag|wiki location}} for those locations which do not fit within the rigid geographical hierarchy.


This category has been proposed as the root of a "rationalized" tree of places starting with world regions and gaining more and more specific focus.  This place is sort of a mess right now but check out the [[Category_talk:Places|talk page for the general plan]] that's being slowly "edited towards".
