category discussion[edit]
Thanks much for helping us gel. Mostly we need energy around the category topic to make the change happen. Thanks so much! TedErnst | talk 17:49, 16 October 2006 (EDT)
- I like the category discussion template as a way to help us bring the project into focus -- it's obviously something we've struggled with and that was a great idea. Thanks very much for the added brainpower! Raymond King | talk 14:31, 18 October 2006 (EDT)
Chord struck[edit]
- If values like Pragmatism, Civility, Inclusion, Compromise, Transparency turn you on, please please please check on the Unity Movement.
I had to respond to this, because all those things do strike a chord with me. I'm not American and won't get involved in Unity08 but will watch with interest. I do occasionally check on the Campaigns Wikia and tell people about it. And I'm mainly involved with Appropedia, which is also about changing the world, but from a different angle.
Strength to you. --Chris Watkins/Singkong2005 talk 22:41, 17 October 2006 (EDT)
Re:
- Appropedia looks really cool. The wiki brought back good college memories: Living in the student housing cooperative with the giant worm bin in the back yard... some housemates did a fresh water project in Tanzania and did a slide show when they got back. I'm almost tempted to look them up to pass the link on, and do a good deed both ways :-)

- Sounds like a cool housing coop. I have a vision that Appropedia would be the site that people would turn to when they're in a housing coop, or on a farm, or in a village somewhere, and want to find (or share) a way to do something that both increases their quality of life and is sustainable.
- If you do manage to find your old housemates and pass on the info to them, then a big thank you in advance! --Chris Watkins/Singkong2005 talk 23:50, 18 October 2006 (EDT)
Sounds like these sites need to be on the ChicagoCoop.net WikiNode (except we don't have one yet)! I live in a housing co-op in Chicago and started that wiki. I haven't put any energy into it, however, so it's not really going anywhere yet. TedErnst | talk 14:04, 19 October 2006 (EDT)
opinion about redlink categories[edit]
Jennifer, really glad to see you back! Excellent work on the category system (again)! Just wanted to let you know my opinion about red link categories. The way I see it, they're not broken, they're future links. I totally agree with you about vanity categories and at the same time, the only reliable way we'll know if there are 3 wikis in a same neighborhood in NYC is to let them each tag as a neighborhood and have those tags be redlinks until we know there are three. Feel free to move this comment elsewhere if you can think of a more suitable location, in case others also want to comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks! - Just to throw my two cents in. Dangling links / red links / future links, are extremely important because they invite future people to the wiki to participate. Best, MarkDilley
Wiki Lists[edit]
Hello Jenny, OpenEdit - Vibrant and Active are important categories/lists. Is there someway that you can highlight them if not in the actual Category:Wiki lists? Best, MarkDilley
what happened?[edit]
Dear JenniferForUnity, I am sorry to see that the UnityWiki has gone offline. Is there anything I can do to help? --DavidCary 00:43, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
