Project Pages are those dealing with the project itself, the wiki internals.
Project pages on a wiki site are those pages dealing with, or referring to the actual wiki site itself, the wiki internals, also known as 'meta' (which means referring to itself, or self-referential).  On wiki sites powered by MediaWiki (including this WikiIndex wiki site), a standard default project namespace will be automatically created by the MediaWiki software; in our case, this is the '<tt>WikiIndex:</tt>' namespace (where all meta project pages will follow the 'WikiIndex:Pagetitle' naming schema).

When You have a Wiki about dogs, the Main Pages are about dogs and the Project Pages are about how to manage the Wiki that collects information about dogs. Here it is a little confusing, because this wiki is the Wiki of Wikis. Therefore our Project pages are titled: WikiIndex:Pagetitle and are dealing about wiki maters as well, just like our Main Pages, only more on a meta level.
As an example, if you have a wiki site about dogs, the main page (and all article pages in the <u>main</u> namespace) will be about dogs, and the 'project pages' are about how to manage that specific wiki site that collects information about dogs. Here on WikiIndex, it might sometimes appear a little confusing, because this WikiIndex wiki is the wiki of wikis. Therefore, our project pages and our main pages are all dealing about wiki maters as well!

Our Project Pages should all be found in the :Category:WikiIndex

Project pages on a wiki site are those pages dealing with, or referring to the actual wiki site itself, the wiki internals, also known as 'meta' (which means referring to itself, or self-referential). On wiki sites powered by MediaWiki (including this WikiIndex wiki site), a standard default project namespace will be automatically created by the MediaWiki software; in our case, this is the 'WikiIndex:' namespace (where all meta project pages will follow the 'WikiIndex:Pagetitle' naming schema).

As an example, if you have a wiki site about dogs, the main page (and all article pages in the main namespace) will be about dogs, and the 'project pages' are about how to manage that specific wiki site that collects information about dogs. Here on WikiIndex, it might sometimes appear a little confusing, because this WikiIndex wiki is the wiki of wikis. Therefore, our project pages and our main pages are all dealing about wiki maters as well!

Our project or meta pages here on WikiIndex should all be found in category: WikiIndex.
