Purpose[edit]
This WMF shortcut template is used to show readers here on this WikiIndex wiki site that there is an article page of the same, or similar subject-matter on the external Wikimedia Wikidata wiki site.
Usage[edit]
- Code
{{SeeWM-Wikidata}}
- Output
- Please see: SeeWM-Wikidata article of the same or similar name or subject on the Wikimedia Wikidata.
Differently named articles[edit]
For Wikimedia Wikidata articles which have a different pagename to that used here on WikiIndex, use a pipe (|
) within the template code, and add the actual Wikimedia Wikidata article name after the pipe. Specific note on Wikimedia Wikidata page / article naming conventions; within its 'main' namespace, all articles will typically be a 'data' item, and these article pages use an alpha-numeric page naming scheme. For example, for our article on wiki main page, Wikimedia Wikidata name their corresponding article Q5296, whereas its displayed page title is Wikimedia main page (Q5296):
- Code
{{SeeWM-Wikidata|Q5296}}
- Output
- Please see: Q5296 article of the same or similar name or subject on the Wikimedia Wikidata.
