LyricWiki is a free site which is a single source where anyone can go to get reliable lyrics for any song from any artist "without being hammered by invasive ads." (- emphasis on invasive: it has ads on the site.)
LyricWiki contains lyrics to more than 800,000 songs. Categorizes by artist, album, song-name, genre and hometown of band. Some songs also have common interpretations of the meanings.
This wiki was named the DreamHost Site of the Month (DHSOTM) for April 2006, and was shortly thereafter featured on Digg and in a Lifehacker article.
This is probably the largest mediawiki on the internet other than wikipedia (source source 2).
