Chat is an 'in wiki' feature used by Wikia and Brickimedia as an alternative to Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

Chat-specific terms
  • Backseating — a.k.a. 'mini-modding', used to describe acting like a chat moderator without mod rights;
  • Chat moderator — a.k.a. 'mod' or 'CM', a user with the ability to kick or ban misbehaving users;
  • Chat jumper — a user who hops around random wiki chats.
