k2g2 was spearheading the brains and crafts movement of the 21st century, taking a hackers perspective on everything from handicraft to crafting machines.
Craftopedia[edit]
The k2g2 Craftopedia is an encyclopedia for krafty knerds and geek girls. The main language of the Craftopedia is English, but it's multilingual in nature. Contributions in languages other than English are highly encouraged.
Community[edit]
The Craftopedia extended its scope to all things crafty, providing community portals for various topics; such as knitting, embroidery, and beading.

In 2004, the k2g2 community surfaced on Orkut by the name Knitting Knerds and Geek Girls, and in early 2009 the k2g2 Craftopedia went online at www.k2g2.org and www.Craftopedia.org.
