Category: is one of the main default namespaces of MediaWiki software, and indeed many other wiki engines. Its related talk page namespace is Category talk:.
Category here on WikiIndex may refer to one or more of the following:
- WikiIndex:Category — the 'meta' article with an overview of how we implement categorisation here on WikiIndex
- Special:Categories — the entire list of all available existing and 'red link' categories here on WikiIndex, sorted numerically and alphabetically
- Special:RandomInCategory — a 'special page', similar to Special:Random, but allows you to target an article within a user-selectable category
- Special:UncategorizedCategories — a 'special page' maintenance report, listing all categories which themselves are not included in a category
- Special:UnusedCategories — a 'special page' maintenance report, listing all categories which are unused or empty; these should be nominated for deletion
- Special:WantedCategories — a 'special page' maintenance report, listing all missing and wanted categories, aka 'red link' categories
- Special:TrackingCategories — lists specific 'tracking' categories which are automatically generated and populated by the MediaWiki software
