As of February 2013, Uncyclopedia contains over 29,000 articles, making it the third largest Wikia-hosted wiki.

Uncyclopedia was transferred to Wikia on May 26, 2005. Although initially promising to keep the "uncyclopedia.org" domain and not host ads, Wikia moved the wiki to "uncyclopedia.wikia.com" on October 23, 2008, despite protests from the community. Further problems occurred in 2012, as Wikia censored images and placed disclaimers on the site; these were major factors in the decision of the majority of users to leave to establish an independently-hosted site in 2013.

The wiki however does not use the standard Wikia skin and does not have Wikia ads.
