This 'Private' logo is used on private wikis when we can not identify their actual logo.

Category:Private — wikis with a status of 'private' require a login with a specific username and password (typically emailed by the founder / creator, or the owner, or an appointed staff member; after confirming your email address), and are usually 'by invitation' only; before any pages, including (though not always) the main, or front page, are displayed, and thus read and / or edited.

Private wiki article pages here on WikiIndex are automatically included into this category if the wiki article infobox is generated from the {{Private}} template; and it will display the pink 'Private Wiki' logo. Alternatively, if the majority of the standard information about the private wiki is known (URLs [even if private], logo, wiki language, wiki engine, wiki license, database dump file location, etc), and our default infobox from the {{Wiki}} template is used, simply change the |status =  field of the infobox to Private. Template:WikiStatus
