About Morten Blaabjerg
I am the founder and CEO of Kaplak, a startup dedicated to helping digital niche producers on the "slim end of the Wikipedia:Long Tail" reach their online markets.
Kaplak grew out of Crewscut.com, a wiki dedicated to working with and presenting cultural and media projects. In short, we needed a financial model as well as a p2p model for sharing large files (GB's of data).
For many years, I've tried to build a professional life as a filmmaker and media producer, but for every project, I reached a distribution bottleneck or editorial filters, which were in the way. Increasingly, though, most of my time seems to be taken by my interest in the internet and computer games. As p2p and sharing technologies have matured and gained in power and precision, it is not only viable, but financially sound, to use the distribution opportunites of the internet, in place of or in combination with traditional channels. This is Kaplak's field of work.
