Lumeniki suggests a research and debate methodology known as Lumenism. As of 30th July there is only one editor, Lumenos, which means that the research topics are Lumenos' interests. However, other people are represented in Lumeniki because email correspondence is copied in and Lumeniki links to other forums and wiki's. These are all a part of Lumeneti.
Lumeniki suggests a research and debate methodology known as Lumenism. As of 30th July there is only one editor, Lumenos, but others are welcome to join. The research topics are currently Lumenos' interests (you are welcome to add your own). However, other people are now represented in Lumeniki because email correspondence is copied in and Lumeniki links to other forums and wiki's. These are all a part of Lumeneti.

Is yet another wiki really necessary? Perhaps not. If Lumenos finds other wikis with the following qualities, he may move the content there:
* Wikiforum: Editors can quote themselves (as Lumenos does in this article) and ask questions in articles. You don't have to pretend to be the omniscient Wizard of Oz; you can mention something that is noteworthy without presenting it as certainty. You represent yourself not the wiki.

* Copysate license: This avoids many of the totalitarian requirements of default intellectual property rights, but entitles developers to a royalty on any profits made by anyone else, using their work. ("Lumenos 10:16, 30 July 2009 (EDT) Some wikis may allow custom licenses for articles. Wikinfo might. I might move some or all the content there.")

** For reliability Lumeniki instead aims to use the articles to evaluate sources and to evaluate wiki editors (editors of Lumeniki or other wikis).

** For notability Lumeniki suggests a more consensus based approach to establish notability. Some think Wikipedia claims to be about consensus, but this is only consensus as to what "reliable" sources claim. "Lumenos 10:16, 30 July 2009 (EDT) Editors can do what they want for a while but I've seen some interesting content deleted from Wikipedia. The article on Wikinfo was removed despite following Wikipedia's polices."

* The ability to easily backup and move all your favorite articles in the wiki. Actually, for you the advantage of Lumeniki, is that Lumenos does backups periodically. This can be done from "Special pages / Export pages" (upload can only be done by administrators, however). "Lumenos 00:50, 10 August 2009 (EDT) I get the list of pages from "Special pages / All pages" copy and paste to a spreadsheet. This lets me copy each column into the exporter box. MediaWiki will generate a list of categories although this list is more difficult to clean up. Lumeniki suffered minimal losses when ScribbleWiki and their "backup service" went down the toilet, while much more popular wikis died due to lack of backups. If Referata becomes unavailable, I will probably upload the most recent backup to Wiki-site, redirect some external links to Lumeniki and we are back in business. The hardest part is that we would have to redirect all the links to Lumeniki from external sites. For example, Wikiindex would have to point to the new wiki or it will look like Lumeniki is dead. A text editor with "find and replace"  makes this easier but it is still so much work I may not bother with many of them."

("Lumenos 10:16, 30 July 2009 (EDT) I'm tempted to create links in this article but I like to keep the wiki portable and I don't want to have to update a bunch of links if I move to a different wiki host. Humm actually that might not be very difficult using 'find and replace', but I should move this summary to Lumeniki where I can create the links easier.")
