Due to these differences the Ratchetpedia administration claims that their wiki is more fair then their wikia counterpart; despite this, the two appear to be on good terms. Ratchetpedia tends to use an editing style similar to that of both the defunct Spyropedia and the [[Kingdom Hearts Wiki]]. It aspires to be unique, hopefully with its own unique templates and skin at some point in the future. The site is a strong follower of the IWAs and even wishes to be accepted among the IWA one day. Ratchetpedia has claimed that it will be very happy to affiliate with any wiki that's independent, no matter what size or topic, but will always deny a site that's a part of any wiki farms, especially Wikia.

In late August 2012, Ratchetpedia and the Ratchet & Clank Wiki have formed a partnership after a long silence. Ratchetpedia will become a walkthrough-oriented wiki while the Wikia version will remain the main one.
