Water is a chemical substance whose molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, designated by its chemical formula H20. Water exists on earth as a liquid at temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius, a solid at 0 degrees Celsius and below, and a gas at temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius (at a mean sea level atmospheric pressure).
