Dr. Magnus Manske, full name Heinrich Magnus Manske[1] (born 24 May 1974), is a German biochemist,[1] and developer of one of the first versions of the MediaWiki software.
A 2007 PhD graduate in Natural Sciences from University of Köln, Cologne, Germany, after graduation, Manske moved to England to take up a scientist post for the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute: Hinxton, Cambridge, and is currently working on Malaria in his post of Senior staff scientist.[1] Manske is a named author or co-author of over ninety (90) published medical,[2] scientific, and / or other professional works,[3] including Ten Simple Rules for Editing Wikipedia,[4] this being well-recieved and scoring impressive citation levels.[5] As certified by Scopus® of November 2019, Manske has been cited over 1700 times by over 1280 documents, and has an h-index of 20.[6]
