The AARoads Wiki (abbreviated AARW) is gazetteer of roads and road-related topics. Though written in English, it aims to cover highway systems throughout the world. It is affiliated with AARoads, one of the most prominent communities of roadgeeks on the Internet.
The AARoads Wiki was established by longtime members of Wikimedia's WikiProject U.S. Roads as a subject-specific fork of the English Wikipedia over disagreements about source and notability standards. Compared to Wikipedia, the AARoads Wiki places more emphasis on numbered highway route systems and relies on a broader range of sources for technical information. The wiki features multimedia from Wikimedia Commons and interactive maps based on OpenStreetMap and OpenHistoricalMap.
