Main topic: Information

NotatWiki (previously Crewscut.com) is a Danish wiki for sharing notes and scraps of information, otherwise binned or forgotten in large stacks of paper or in deep, remote corners of our harddrives.

Sharing notes lying around on our desks or in the depths of our harddrives has several advantages :

  • Information can be organized better using tags and hyperlinks, linking relevant stuff together.
  • Information can be indexed by search engines.
  • Information can be searched by anyone, from anywhere, as long as there is a browser and an internet connection.
  • Information may be found and used by anyone, from anywhere, etc.
  • Information may be built upon and developed upon by anyone, etc.

The wiki was founded in 2010 by Morten Blaabjerg, built upon the remains of Crewscut.com, a lingering, suffering wiki dedicated to cultural projects, in dire need of new purpose and meaning.

NotatWiki derives it's name from the Danish word for notes, 'notat' (singular) or 'notater' (plural).
