Ratchetpedia is a wiki that functions as a community hub for the Ratchet & Clank series that anyone can edit. The aim of the site is to provide a community portal for fans of the Ratchet & Clank series by providing walkthroughs and basic articles about Ratchet & Clank while linking to further Ratchet & Clank resources. The site was founded by Sove and UxieLover1994 on March 31, 2012.
The idea for Ratchetpedia came to UxieLover1994 around October 2011 while she was editing the now-defunct Spyropedia, and after several months of working with Sove — a friend of UxieLover1994 — the site finally came into existence.
History
Ratchetpedia was created by UxieLover1994 and Sove on March 31, 2012. It was originally intended to become an independent Ratchet & Clank encyclopedia, but after a partnership with the Ratchet & Clank wiki was created (ending several disputes) Ratchetpedia's role was changed to become a community hub, becoming a Ratchet & Clank resource site for fans. It was decided that Ratchetpedia would cover walkthroughs and other Ratchet & Clank resources, while producing simpler articles about key aspects of the series which linked to the Ratchet & Clank wiki for further information.
Communication
In addition to communicating on the community portal, discussion board and talk pages, the wiki has an IRC channel on freenode at #ratchetpedia (irc://irc.freenode.com/ratchetpedia). It also has a YouTube account: http://www.youtube.com/user/Ratchetpedia
