Category talk:Places

This was a category that some people were using to organize things by location but it was haphazard and there were other schemes laying around. It is being slowly edited out of relevance.

The target category system is currently:

• Browse > Wiki Lists > Wiki Location - The root cat for all things geographic.
• Browse > Wiki Lists > Wiki Location > Cities - The cat for all city wikis.
• Browse > Wiki Lists > Wiki Location > Earth - The root cat for a "tree of geography".

Each of those categories exists and has talk pages. The talk pages contain explanations of what's going in in detail as well as some discussions that were originally on this very talk page (which you can see using the history tab for this page).

To eventually eliminate:

• Browse > Wiki Lists > Wiki Location > Places - This very category in a temporary place.
