Hi,

I am wondering how can I get my wiki site to say "Hi, Username" or if a person is not logging it can say "Hi,192.168.1.1" like you all have on your home page right above "Join us in making WikiIndex better by adding...."

Also I see people are banned for adding external links, but than you are asking to put my wiki site here, so I am confused about that.

If a person is banned for adding external links then that is because the external links were spam advertisements, not wikis. You will not be banned if you create a page about your wiki. --Elassint 13:32, 5 July 2010 (EDT)

Hi JFrancis. I second what Elassint said about external links to actual wikis being perfectly fine. As for the "Hi, Username" issue, it depends on what wiki software you are running. WikiIndex uses MediaWiki. I don't know exactly how they do it, but I'm sure it can be found if you search here. --MarvelZuvembie 19:01, 6 July 2010 (EDT)
