WhatIsWiki
What is a Wiki — a wiki is a special type of software, usually set up with a website as the front-end but simpler versions with an user interface for a stand-alone computer for personal use are available. The special (web)interface of a wiki software allows its users to modify and expand the content of the underlying database and a good part of the structure as well. Editing a wiki is in most cases far easier than modifying a typical website or database. Typically, it is just a matter of hitting the "edit" button on any page (even this one) which you like to change or expand. Most wikis are made from the start for co-operation. It is a kind of group-ware to exchange information and especially to collect and build the content (of a website) in a collaborative manner, be it as a community or even by any given passer-by.
This wiki can be edited by virtually everyone. For the most part even without creating an user account. You can write on this wiki whatever you want. But we, the community of this wiki, expect you to limit your contributions to the topic of this wiki. Also we expect you to not use offensive language and respect copyright. We keep our wiki clean and delete SPAM or other unwanted content rather in a timely fashion.
