Description

Ross-Tech Wiki, founded January 2006 is a closed wiki run by Ross-Tech for general information and detailed help on the 'factory level' VAG-COM Diagnostic System (VCDS™) for use on all Volkswagen Group (VWAG) vehicles; which include Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Lamborghini and Bentley. Due to the nature and complexity of the VCDS tool, and the very real scope for causing permanent damage to cars due to inappropriate use – creating and editing of articles is normally only carried out by Ross-Tech staff, although other trusted individuals may also be invited to edit. The content of the wiki (and its related website) is copyright protected by its creator, Ross-Tech LLC, and "VCDS" is its Registered Trademark.

The wiki compliments their online manual, and primarilly consists of a comprehensive list of over 13,000 VWAG-specific Fault Codes also known as Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs); a detailed section of Control Module Maps (the specific detail contained within each individual 'Electronic Control Unit' or ECU); a selection of common procedures; and detailed diagnostic procedures for all models covered. It also gives a detailed walk-through on how to reset the Service Interval Display reminder; how to perform an emergency regeneration of the Diesel Particulate Filter; and basic settings tips for the 02E 6-speed Direct Shift Gearbox; and gives a brief explanation of the PR-codes.

Ross-Tech Wiki is based on MediaWiki, but uses a custom skin.
