- Purpose
This particular template, copied from the English Wikipedia wiki, or other Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) wiki, is used to create a shortcut to the documentation subpage for its specific template. It is copied (from en.wp) in accordance with their Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license 3.0 (CC-BY-SA 3.0); the same license as used by many other Wikimedia Foundation wikis; and importantly here also on WikiIndex. Note that under the terms of the CC-BY-SA-3.0 license, attribution must be given when copying and re-using such licensed material. The optimal method is by declaring attribution, along with an interwiki link to the originating article, in the edit summary here on WikiIndex, as shown in this example.
