wikiHow — to do anything – "the world's collaborative how-to manual" that you can edit, is a wiki for the creation of the world's largest how-to manual. Founded by Jack Herrick on 15 January 2005, all wikiHow wikis use the popular MediaWiki software, but they are heavily modified to be better suited to a 'how to manual'. It also uses a custom skin, and displays advertising from GoogleAds. The textual wiki content is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike 2.5 (or later) license (CC-BY-NC-SA 2.5+).[1]
wikiHow, Inc., which is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, USA, claims to be a "carbon neutral website".[2] wikiHow is a registered trademark at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
