Karsten Hoffmeyer is a system administrator who has contributed a great deal of work to the internationalisation and extension documentation efforts at MediaWiki.org and Semantic-MediaWiki.org. Karsten translates system messages at translatewiki.net. Additionally, he is the main editor at Semantic MediaWiki.org. He also is active on SemanticWeb.org and UniversalEditButton.org. In the Free Software Directory, he sees to it that everything regarding the listings of MediaWiki and Semantic MediaWiki are up-to-date.
In October 2015 he commenced providing MediaWikiWidgets.org, a catalog of widgets for MediaWiki, for the community as well as Semantic MediaWiki - Sandbox wiki (until March 2019). In July 2016 the Foreground Skin - Demo wiki and in March 2017 the Pivot Skin - Demo wiki followed.
