and needs to be 'populated' with articles, stubs (and / or other categories)
relevant to the subject matter of this specific category.

Include an article page in this category via one (or more) of three methods:
a. add Wikiunity in the appropriate field of its infobox template
b. 'tag' a word within the prose of the article, eg. {{tag|Wikiunity}}
c. add [[Wikiunity]] at the bottom of its edit box.

Wikiunity was an international free MediaWiki wiki farm project based in Germany. It offered users the ability to create their own wikis without paying for its hosting services.

Wikiunity also formerly supported the 'WikiProject Other wikis' initiative from the German Wikipedia.

Wikiunity was co-founded by Michael 'McCouman' jr. (CEO), Tim 'SVG' Weyer (COO), and Bob 'Bwoebi' Weinand (CTO) on October 2011. But by late April 2012, the entire site is defunct!!

Wikiunity was a non-commercial project and was based on the MediaWiki software.

About Wikiunity

Wikiunity is a free wiki hosting project. Unlike many other wiki hosters we want to be close to the users and work with them hand in hand. We offer the users are free to create a wiki and use the skin of their choice. Wikiunity uses the same software like Wikipedia, the MediaWiki software. We're also available in many different languages, our main languages are currently English, German (Deutsch), and Chinese (中文).

Moving to Wikiunity

You already got a wiki on a free wiki hoster or on an own server? No problem. You can easily move to Wikiunity. When you're on a free wiki hoster, we can save your wiki pages and images and import them invisible to your new Wikiunity project. If you're on an own server and you've access to the database, we can import your database and images. You can still stay at your current domain (or redirect it to Wikiunity) for a year without additional costs.
