The Verified Handles wiki, or VHID, is a semi-private wiki from JEM Media Limited in the United Kingdom, is a non-profit database for social handles (or username) aimed at combating impersonation on social media sites. Verified Handles wiki is powered in part by data from Wikimedia Wikidata, and displays advertising from Google advertising. The wiki was founded by realjamesh.
VHID's (Verified Handles Identifiers) are 11 digit identifiers that identify every entry in the Verified Handles database. VHID's are permanent, i.e. they are unique to entries and aren't changed. Therefore they can be used for external linking to our database without risk of change. We advise against using any redirects (a-z letter) based links for authoritative linking to entries.
