MZMcBride is a sysop on Wikimedia Meta-Wiki and MediaWiki.org. He is also a frequent commenter at MediaZilla (where he adds himself as a cc on almost every bug) and wikitech-l. He is fond of making comparisons between the MediaWiki development process and wiki editing,[1] although it has been pointed out that there are some important differences between the two.
On 4 April 2014, he wrote, "I find myself wanting more and more to disengage from Meta-Wiki as I no longer want to be as closely associated with many of those who have become the regulars here. A wiki's culture is certainly expected to change over time, but it's becoming clearer to me that here on Meta-Wiki, the culture isn't improving."
