The NURDspace wiki site founded in 2011, is the central documentation for the NURDspace (Never Underestimate Real Development spaces, or NURDs) community from Wageningen, in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. The wiki is powered by MediaWiki, and also uses Semantic MediaWiki. Until 2023, it used a custom skin from Paul Gu called GuMax, it now uses only Vector and Citizen skins.
NURDspace is a hackerspace. It first opened its door in February 2012 in Wageningen. Everyone is welcome to join!
A hackerspace is a community-operated physical place, where people can meet and work on projects. Or, according to Wikipedia: A location where people with common interests, usually in computers, technology, science, or digital or electronic art can meet, socialize and/or collaborate. Hackerspaces can be viewed as open community labs incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and/or studios where hackers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and make things. |
