About Morten Blaabjerg
I am the founder and CEO of Kaplak, a startup dedicated to helping digital niche producers on the "slim end of the long tail" reach their online markets.
Kaplak grew out of Crewscut.com, a wiki dedicated to working with and presenting cultural and media projects. In short, we needed a financial model as well as a p2p model for sharing large files (GB's of data). We found no obvious tools which could help us, so in 2007 I decided to found a new company, dedicated to these problems, not just for Crewscut.com, but for other niche producers and online platforms as well.
For many years, I've tried to build a professional life as a filmmaker and media producer, but for every project, I reached a distribution bottleneck or editorial filters, which were in the way. Increasingly, however, as p2p and internet sharing technologies have matured and gained in power and precision, they can be utilized effectively to create financially sound distribution tools and methods for niche producers (such as myself), who wishes to distribute their work to new global markets.
This is Kaplak's field of work.
