The NetBeans IDE is a popular integrated development environment for people who develop programs written in Java, JavaScript, PHP, Groovy, C, C++, and other programming languages. The NetBeans IDE itself is a highly modular open-source application written in Java. The NetBeans platform allows applications to be developed from a set of modular software components called modules. Applications based on the NetBeans platform (including the NetBeans IDE) can be extended by third party developers.
The NetBeans wiki discusses all these things, as well as the community of programmers who develop with NetBeans.
In addition to English, there seems to be a significant amount of content in many languages ([1]), including Spanish ([2]), German ([3]), Italian ([4]), French ([5]), Korean ([6]), etc.
