Hi Jack,  I would like to move your user page to Jack Phoenix - with your talk page staying at User talk:Jack Phoenix.  I think that for Wikipedia - putting the people who do the work - one step removed makes sense, at WikiIndex, we are all about the people who do the work on wikis too.  What do you think about that?  Best, MarkDilley

:If you (or someone else) wants to create a main namespace page about me, by all means feel free to, but I don't think that moving the user page from userspace to mainspace would make that much sense. User pages, in my view, are more or less structured profiles written by the respective users, whereas main namespace pages are &mdash; or should be, in my view &mdash; more "encyclopedic". Sure, we're not the English Wikipedia or anything like that, but if we look at the user page of Lee Daniel Crocker, a prominent MediaWiki developer and long-time Wikipedia editor and the main namespace article about him, you'll notice that there's a certain difference in tone and whatnot.<br />It'd actually be somewhat flattering to have someone write a mainspace article about me, but I'll leave that for "that someone else" as I don't want to be tooting my own horn too much. :-) --Jack Phoenix (talk) 08:07, 29 April 2013 (PDT)

:: I think the main point here is that WikiIndex cultural roots are pre-wikipedia, as such, we don't really adhere to encyclopedic... anything.  In all the wiki that I worked on before Wikipedia became "the wiki" - your name page was your page - just like on any page, you or anyone else can edit it.  So, only with your permission, I would move User:Jack Phoenix to Jack Phoenix - else not.  Best, MarkDilley
