Libertapedia: Difference between revisions

'''Libertapedia''' is "the libertarian encyclopedia".  The site, founded in {{tag|FoundedIn2004|2004}} as LibertarianWiki.org by Paul Studier, described itself as a "clearinghouse of useful information for {{tag|libertarian}} {{tag|activists}}" in the {{tag|United States}}, and was intended to facilitate collaboration on real-world campaigns and other projects, but is now segueing to a more encyclopedia-like format.  In {{tag|FoundedIn2010|2010}}, it switched from an exclusively {{tag|Wiki Public Domain (generic)|Public Domain}} license to a Public Domain/[[:Category:Wiki Creative Commons|Creative Commons]] ({{tag|Wiki Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike|Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike}}) hybrid that allows for content to be brought in from [[:Category:Wikipedia|Wikipedia]].  In 2010, a new site owner took over and it was moved to Libertapedia.org. Beginning in 2011, it went down with database errors and was not resurrected until mid-2012.

Revisions 27061 to 27562, from 12 AM to 2 AM on 2 September 2010, were lost from the database, presumably due to a faulty importation when the database was being moved. For this reason, many Libertapedia pages have an error that states, "The revision #0 of the page named [page name] does not exist. This is usually caused by following an outdated history link to a page that has been deleted." It appears that most, if not all, of the lost revisions were of IRevenge vandalizing as many pages as he could, stating "Libertapedia blocked me! They hate freedom!" with the edit summary "moar lulz", and [[Anime Addict]] reverting the vandalism. There may have been other revisions lost as well. The reason for the fault was probably that the database was imprudently imported using [[mw:Manual:phpMyAdmin|phpMyAdmin]].
