:That is because the '[[Property:Wiki edit mode|edit mode]]' is a [[Special:Properties|Semantic Property]], and only valid Semantic Properties can be added when creating articles using a [[Special:Forms|Semantic Form]] that is [[Form:Wiki]]. I suggest when edit mode (or indeed any of the other Semantic Properties) are of 'unknown' - the best way to create a new article is by using an existing [[red link]] and copy+paste the [[Template:Wiki boilerplate]] - using the help text contained within the boilerplate.
