The '''Wikimedia CheckUser Wiki''', commonly referred to as the '''WMF CU Wiki''', is a {{tag|private}} MediaWiki site controlled by the {{tag|Wikimedia Foundation}} (WMF). The purpose of the [[wiki]] is to allow [[user]]s with the [[CheckUser]] permissions on any and all WMF [[WhatIsWiki|wikis]] to have a workspace to collaborate and discuss proceedings. The wiki is completely private except for the [[Main Page]], due to the fact that sensitive [[IP address]] information is frequently posted on the wiki's pages. The CU Wiki is not unified as part of [[Meta-Wiki:Help:Unified login|WMF CentralAuth]], and therefore global accounts on public wikis like [[:Category:Wikipedia|Wikipedia]] cannot be used to access the CU Wiki. Only select accounts can be created by site administrators, and accounts are only given to users with [[Meta-Wiki:CheckUser policy|CheckUser]] access on at least one public site. [[Jimmy Wales]], the [[founder]] of the WMF, also has access, as do the [[Meta-Wiki:Ombudsman commission|WMF Ombudsman Commission]] members.
