'''Category:Custom skin''' — this [[Special:Categories|category]] contains [[wiki]]s which have been assessed as having a ''''custom skin''''.  A '{{tag|Skins|skin}}' is the term used to describe the standard look in which the web page is rendered, or presented on screen, when using standard {{tag|software}}.  All [[:Category:Wiki Engine|wiki engines]] are supplied with a default standard skin; and some wiki engines may also be supplied with one or more alternative skins which are supplied as a standard inclusion within the software package; or as pre-configured stand-alone downloadable extensions, plug-ins, or add-ons.  Those pre-packaged alternative skins do <u>not</u> come under the realms of this particular category.  A 'custom skin' is one where the wiki [[owner]]s have {{tag|Programming|modified}} the look and feel of the default software settings to their own unique {{tag|custom}} style; sometimes quite dramatically, to the point of being unrecognisable from the originally supplied wiki engine software.
