: There's currently something strange with the list. I think there's an invisible spam blacklist somewhere that no one but John can edit. – Smiddle/<small>TC@</small> 10:46, 24 May 2007 (EDT)

::We use three levels of spam protection, the spam regex, the mediawiki spam blacklist and our own spam blacklist page. If you are blocked by the Mediawiki Blacklist you have a big problem and need to get Mediawiki to remove it. Our blacklist page has few sites on it and you can check it at My_spam_blacklist. The spam regex contains mostly bad words and drug brands and there is no way to view it except by viewing the LocalSettings.php file. If you are blocked the offending text will be displayed in the message and you can check the above to see where it is being blocked. If you are blocked by a word or phrase it may in the spam regex if you have a blocked url it is probably in the Mediawiki Blacklist or the Local Blacklist. BTW the spam filters all fail silently so if they quit working the only way we know is that spam starts to increase. John 12:52, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
