Trashwiki is a {{tag|non-profit}} no-budget project.  The domain name, server space, and tech support is happily provided by [https://Trashwiki.org/en/User:Guaka guaka].  There are some other people with access to this server, but they're all trusted people who either dumpster dive themselves or otherwise have the right spirit (e.g. [[Wikimini]] is running on the same machine).
 
As of January 2011, Trashwiki has over 500 articles.  The website makes use of the {{tag|MediaWiki}} software, and allows anonymous edits.  It's possible to log in through {{tag|OpenID}}.  On 23 March 2009, Trashwiki moved to a faster server running on 100% {{Wp|carbon dioxide}}-free {{tag|Renewable energy|hydro energy}}.
