The English-language version of Uncyclopedia is hosted by {{tag|Wikia}}.  As of April 2006, Uncyclopedia contains over 21,000 articles, making it the third largest Wikia-hosted wiki.  Currently (25th Oct '08) there seems to be a disagreement between Uncyclopedia and Wikia. The future is unclear. [http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Decisions_Time_Folks_-_Let%27s_Be_Organized_for_a_Change]

Uncyclopedia was transferred to Wikia on May 26, 2005. Although initially promising to keep the uncyclopedia.org domain and not host ads, Wikia moved the wiki to uncyclopedia.wikia.com on October 23, 2008, despite protests from the community. The wiki however does not use the standard Wikia skin and does not have Wikia ads. [http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Decisions_Time_Folks_-_Let%27s_Be_Organized_for_a_Change]

The goal of this project is to provide misinformation in a satirical and  humourous way.  Entries tended to be short and random in its infancy. The current partially successful trend at Uncyclopedia is to make all entries very developed and polished.  This includes pictures, and even sound bites.  Random humor is also on the wane, with preferred articles containing a novel or subtle blurring of the truth.  Users wanting to write random humour may try [[Illogicopedia]] instead.

A wide range of offences can lead to a block, frequently with a [http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Special:Ipblocklist humiliating reason] given.  Administrator, Mordillo stated that their policy is, ''“We have the "piss of the admins and they ban you rule"''. [http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Talk:Adam_and_Eve#And_since_you_both_posted_all_over_the_place_I'll_post_my_remark_here]  It’s sometimes hard to tell when Uncyclopedians are serious and when they are joking. They used to block boys with the comment, ''“Your penis is too small.'' or ''“Your penis is too small.  Come back when you reach puberty.'' Perhaps they blocked girls with that comment as well.  A blocking sysop can’t always see the blocked user’s sex. This happened as recently as April, May 2008.  It’s impossible to tell if blocks are reasonable as the content that lead to a block is frequently deleted. Whatever a youngster wrote that type of comment looks like child abuse.  [http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Blockedtext Uncyclopedia's funny and humiliating ban window].

Uncyclopedia attracts irresponsible users.  There are regularly in the region of 10 to 15 blocks a day and most are probably necessary. Hopefully the administrators are more responisble.
