The idea of creating a source with similar aims to Titannica had been circulating for a long time before Titannica was founded. Others contained huge amounts of information from a "meta" perspective about the franchise, such as the original [[Fightingfantasy.com (original)|Fightingfantasy.com]] which was once called "The Scrolls of Titan".
