Subpages for all language versions?[edit]

Which possibilties are there for presenting all language versions of a wiki? Maybe with subpages? Or better with a suffix in the articles' lemma? Thx, --Plasmarelais 09:51, 10 February 2011 (PST)

There is no rule regarding this. Thus far, people have done different things. Some list all language versions on the same page. Some create separate pages for each language iteration. Some create subpages. So, in answer to your question, all possibilities are open. Feel free to use whichever solution you find to be most elegant. --MarvelZuvembie 12:01, 10 February 2011 (PST)
(Maybe this helps a little for your decision:) I'd prefer a page per language. This makes more sense for categorization: Different numbers of Pages, different wikiFactors, different status, different language etc. Best --Wolf | talk 12:34, 10 February 2011 (PST)

Thanks a lot for responding! Following Wolf's points I think page per language is best. I'll do so soon. Thx, --Plasmarelais 07:17, 11 February 2011 (PST)

If you do go ahead and create sepatate article entries for individual languages, then you really need to create an 'overall' template, like say the Template:Wikipedia so you can easily navigate across all - and avoid any potential pitfalls for duplicate entries. Category:Article templates is a good place to look at existing examples - {{JurisPedia}} is one good example, and {{Dofus}} is another good way of dealing with this multi-language issue. Rgds Hoof Heartedtalk2HH 15:55, 14 September 2012 (PDT)
