WikiIndex talk:Invitations to get involved
On this page only discussions about idea and implementation of "Invitations to get involved" please.
Key[edit]
- Wikilink = link to the talk page where someone wishes the paticipation of other Wiki peoples.
- TopicDate = as far as possible the date when work/problem/issue/idea was started or discovered.
- InvitationDate = the date of invitation, of inclusion in the list of invitations.
- StatusWord = as long as it is ongoing work, a StatusWord that gives a hint on how far things have developed.
- SolvedDate = after the issue is done somehow and the line left there for a period of a week or month; but than the line should be removed, because it is no longer an invitation.
About[edit]
The page shall become a list(!) of one(!)-liners which are linking to talk pages. Eventually it could be inserted in another page, like the Template:Newest additions possibly on the WikiIndex:Community portal. It shall help to get an idea what we are working on currently and a junppage to get involved. For a start I want to make it easy add an entry. Therefore it is a simple list and no table.
Discussion[edit]
Basicly I like to see this as the development of another community feature. I also do not like the TalkPage of the Community portal to be cluttered with 'endless discussions'. That does not give a positive impression to a newcomer. And most of these discussions got to get to the talk pages of the topics they are about. Also they are mostly not about community. That would free that Community-TalkPage for community matters. What do You think? Manorainjan (talk) 00:28, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
