Chat is a feature used by Wikia and Brickimedia as an alternative to Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

- Backseating — a.k.a. minimodding, used to describe acting like a chat moderator without mod rights
- Chat moderator — a.k.a. mod or CM, a user with the ability to kick or ban misbehaving users
