'''Ratchetpedia''' is an independent [[wikipedia:Wiki|Wiki]] focusing on the ''Ratchet & Clank'' video game series, developed by Insomniac Games (with the exeption of two games that were instead developed by High Impact Games). The site was founded by Sove and [[UxieLover1994]] on March 31, 2012. It is still a newborn wiki, and has yet to get it's own logo and banner, but it's mainpage is currently in the making.

The idea for Ratchetpedia came to UxieLover around October 2011 while she was working at the now-defunct [[Spyropedia]], and after several months, the site finally came to existance with the help of Sove, a friend of Uxie and a high member of [[Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance|SEIWA]]. Today, Uxie works hard with Ratchetpedia, but due to being overshadowed by [[Ratchet & Clank wiki|the prideful Wikia counterpant]], very few people actually visit the site, and rarely does anyone even give out useful data of the series; as the leading admins of both wikis do not get along well, because of their different views (with Ratchetpedia following NIWA and the Ratchet Wiki following Wikia), the two sites share a bitter rival.

Ratchetpedia tends to use a style similar to that of both Spyropedia and the [[Kingdom Hearts Wiki]], but with it's own added content. It wishes to be unique, with it's own unique templates and skin. The site is a strong follower of the IWAs, and wishes to be a part of an IWA one day. The site will be very happy to affiliate with any wiki that's independent, but will always turn down a site that's part of a wikifarm (due to their ongoing rivalry with the Ratchet Wiki).

Ratchetpedia is a wiki that functions as a community hub for the Ratchet & Clank series that anyone can edit. The aim of the site is to provide a community portal for fans of the Ratchet & Clank series by providing walkthroughs and basic articles about Ratchet & Clank, while linking to further Ratchet & Clank resources. The site was founded by Sove and UxieLover1994 on March 31, 2012.

It was decided that Ratchetpedia would cover walkthroughs and other Ratchet & Clank resources, while producing simpler articles about key aspects of the series which linked to the Ratchet & Clank wiki for further information.
