It is proposed that this Template:Merge article, template, or category be merged with [[:Template:{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] because {{{2}}}. Please discuss.

Usage

Articles, templates, or categories tagged with this merge housekeeping template, ideally by using the short-code:

{{Merge| name of article to be merged with | reason for merge }} at the top of the edit box – will be automatically added to category: Articles to be merged.

This template automatically detects any namespace it is used in, so there is no need to manually specify or include it.

Please replace the name of article to be merged with text with the actual name of the alternative article. Additionally, please amend the reason for merge with the brief rationale for the merge suggestion, and indicate which one ought to have priority or preference to be kept as the surviving merged article. Please use this merge template on BOTH articles, templates, or categories, and if the reasons for merge require more detailed explanation, please describe on either one of its talk page.
