This Rename housekeeping template is used to highlight possibly incorrectly named articles, templates, or categories here on WikiIndex; to request a more appropriate name; to prompt discussion on the new suggestion; and ultimately, to ideally get the requested action completed. Whilst most articles can be moved at will by all WikiIndex registered users (as long as they are actually logged in, and there is no individual page protection which prevents renaming of the specific page), most templates, and all categories can only be renamed by WikiIndex Administrators and above.
- Usage
Copy the following boilerplate text and paste it at the top of the edit box on the article, template, or category to be renamed.

Please replace the new better name of article, template or category text with the actual preferred new name of the article, template, or category; and don't forget to briefly state your reasons. This housekeeping template automatically detects the actual namespace in which it is being used, therefore, there is no need to include the namespace identifier for the new name suggestion (providing you are suggesting a rename within the same namespace). If it is not possible to add the reason within the actual template, please indicate on their respective talk pages the reason(s) for the requested rename, and please be prepared to subsequently respond to any comments or requests for clarity.
When specifically requesting a category rename, correct or better grammar is a strong reason, as is changing a plural category name into a singular. Specifically for categories, it is an absolute given that a category will (or should) contain more than one article (and / or sub-category) within, so there is no need to use a pluralised name. Furthermore, unlike Wikipedia, here on WikiIndex, we actually use MANY categories as 'articles'; that is to say, for many subjects which are not directly (and exclusively) related to 'wiki' (such as countries, professions, science, lifestyles, technology, etc), categories ARE our 'articles' here on WikiIndex, and we actually link to categories as articles by using our {{Tag}} template. Hence the need for grammatically correct category names.
Articles, templates, or categories that are tagged with this rename template will be automatically added to category: Articles to be renamed.
