Akvopedia is a wiki about sustainable water and sanitation solutions, with an emphasis on appropriate technology.

It is the first open wiki on the subject of sustainable water and sanitation. It was launched in August 2007 by Akvo.org, a non-profit foundation based in the Netherlands (with its servers located in the UK), and is contributed to primarily by specialist in the water and sanitation sector for developing countries. Its textual wiki content was intially released under the GNU Free Documentation License version 1.2 (GFDL v1.2), but as of early 2013, is also released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 (CC-BY-SA 3.0).
