LyricWiki is a free Wikia entertainment wiki which is a single source where anyone can go to get reliable lyrics for any song from any artist "without being hammered by invasive ads" (emphasis on invasive, it has ads on the site for users who are not logged in).
LyricWiki contains lyrics to about 1,280,000 songs on almost 100,000 albums by more than 68,000 artists. The over 1.8 million content pages are categorized by artist, album, song-name, genre and hometown of band. Some songs also have translations.
This wiki was named the 'DreamHost Site of the Month' (DHSOTM) for April 2006, and was shortly thereafter featured on Digg and in a Lifehacker article.
LyricWiki is the largest MediaWiki wiki on the internet other than Wikipedia (source).
