A pseudowiki is a website that calls itself a wiki, or imitates a popular wiki skin (such as Vector), but is not actually a wiki. Examples would be Ensis wiki, which calls itself a wiki, and which may use a private wiki, and Wikimedia blog (WordPress). With reference to this trend, Karsten Hoffmeyer noted, with regard to 12 of the 17 Wikimedia chapters,[1]
| The other chapters do not have the dignity to use MediaWiki. Well, this is imho a bit shameful but basically it is none of my business. So ... One funny thing though I had a jolly good laugh about: one chapter sort of imitates the Vector skin using another CMS. |
