Pseudowiki

A pseudowiki is a website that calls itself a wiki, or which imitates a popular wiki skin (such as Vector), but is not actually a wiki, and is not powered by any wiki engine. One example would be Ensis wiki, which calls itself a wiki, and which may use a private wiki. Another example is the official Wikimedia blog, which uses WordPress.
With reference to this trend, in discussion with Jamie Thingelstad (WikiApiary founder), Karsten Hoffmeyer noted, with regard to 12 of the 17 Wikimedia chapters,[1]
The other chapters do not have the dignity to use MediaWiki. Well, this is imho a bit shameful but basically it is none of my business. So ... One funny thing though I had a jolly good laugh about: one chapter sort of imitates the Vector skin using another CMS. | ||
